About Oxman

Ian Oxman, President

While pursuing a Masters in neurobiology at Columbia University, Oxman followed his heart and left the world of science and entered the world of business.  Putting his analytical skills to use Oxman began his career in marketing research.  

From research Oxman transitioned into database, analytics, and direct marketing.  In 1990 Oxman joined industry leader Experian and worked with clients such as: American Express, Office Depot, Ford, and AT&T. 

 

Next stop, the Internet.  In 1997 Oxman founded ChooseYourMail.com.   CYM pioneered the field of permission based email marketing and Oxman became a frequent spokesman in nation media including: Wall Street Journal, USA Today,  MSNBC, CNN, and others. 

 

In 2001 Oxman joined Rapp Collins Worldwide, one of the world’s largest marketing agencies and worked with companies such as Hyatt Hotels, Pfizer, Novartis, Chrysler, DirecTV,  helping them develop email marketing strategies and programs.

 

In 2004 Oxman switched sides of the desk and joined the client ranks with Sage Software.  As SVP Marketing and Strategic Initiatives he directed marketing efforts for the company’s largest brands with nearly 2 million North American customers. 

Oxman
spearheaded the development of predictive analytics, reduced traditional campaign expenses by over 30% and simultaneously increased annual
revenue per customer.  In addition, Oxman created an Innovation team and dramatically changed how Sage utilized email and online marketing within several business units. 

Today, Oxman works with companies big and small.  When not working, writing, or speaking about marketing you can find Ian coaching youth sports, boating on Lake Lanier or hacking around the local golf course.
